Boudoir photography is a trend that has women looking at themselves in a whole new light. What started as a sexy gift idea for the hubby has turned into a new form of self-acceptance! Located in the Midwest (Kansas City, Missouri to be exact) the words "boudoir photos" are still uttered in hushed tones, for the most part! However, boudoir photography is a trend that is sweeping through the nation like a force!! Women are not only interested, but are using the art as a tool to their own self-empowerment!

WHAT EXACTLY IS BOUDOIR PHOTOGRAPHY?
By definition, “boudoir photography is a photographic style featuring intimate, romantic, and sometimes erotic images of its subjects in a bedroom or private dressing room environment…” (Read the entire Wikipedia article here)
BOUDOIR IS NO LONGER JUST FOR MEN!
Boudoir photography was mainly used by brides-to-be as a unique and sexy gift idea for their new hubbies, or as an anniversary gift. Now women are gifting boudoir photography sessions to themselves as a way to remember just how truly beautiful and sexy they are.
We as women tend to believe the absolute worst about ourselves and especially our bodies, but with the body positive movement that’s sweeping the nation women are starting to fully embrace themselves and their bodies just as they are! Now women are using boudoir photography shoots as a celebration of themselves and their bodies!!
